This colourful and fantastical autumn taper candle with mushrooms is a part of our autumn collection. It celebrates the part of autumn that fills us with excitement and magic of finding little mushrooms hidden between fallen leaves, along woodland paths, and scattered around our gardens.
It will make a fun and beautiful gift for a friend and bring a little childhood wonder and magic into their homes. The delicate designs and vibrant colours will warm their rooms creating a homey, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for those dark and chilly evenings.
This taper candle will also make an incredible companion for family dinners or a relaxing addition to an evening of tea and cakes with friends. The lit candle will bring a cosy vibe and no smells will interfere with the delicious scents of freshly cooked meals or desserts since the candle is scentless, which is also a plus if your loved one is asthmatic or has certain reactions to strong scents.
This time of year, these fun-gis can also be eaten… get it? Fun guys? Anyhow. In Poland, many families make wild mushroom soup for our Christmas Eve Dinner:
‘Traditionally made with mushrooms that have been collected fresh off the forest floor, it can be eaten year-round but is more popular as a winter or autumn soup(…)
One of the twelve dishes served for Wigilia Bożego Narodzenia or Christmas Eve Dinner, this soup is meatless. Eaten for centuries in Poland, the soup can be made with Borowik (boletus), Kurki (chanterelle), or Agaricus mushrooms.’
