Scented Christmas felt ornament – Hedgehog.

A general fun fact:
They are all sleeping, but did you know that out of all of them, only hedgehogs and some species of mice officially hibernate? You may think, what about the bears? Well, brown bears don’t actually hibernate but go into a state called torpor. ‘Sometimes referred to as dormancy, torpor is a time in which an animal is less active and has a reduced metabolic rate and body temperature. Hibernation is, essentially, a prolonged torpid state.’
Along with bears: badgers, red squirrels and most species of mice go into a torpid state, which ‘Unlike hibernation, torpor is involuntary, and animals only enter it when environmental conditions become too harsh. It doesn’t last as long as hibernation and animals may enter and emerge from torpor more easily than true hibernation.’

Hedgehog fact: ‘It was once believed that hedgehogs stole milk straight from cows’ udders, which may have been why people so commonly leave milk out for them. But they are actually lactose intolerant – so if you want to feed your local neighbourhood hedgehog, wet cat food or hedgehog food you can purchase in most garden centres is best!’

All these felt ornaments are 100% handmade.

They are made by recreating our sketches onto felt with hot, coloured wax and transferring it onto the wax ornament.

Each scented felt ornament has a dimension of around 7.5cm, the perfect size to hang on a Christmas tree or a garland.
Place them wherever you want, but away from a source of heat, e.g. a radiator, as they are made from wax.
Christmas LED lights are cold and perfectly safe for these wax ornaments.

Scent randomly chosen from two available: Mince Pies or Winter Spices Fine.

These scented felt ornaments are not wax melts; use them for decoration purposes only.
