We created this festive lantern with sleepy animals (felt elements) to bring a cosy, joyful vibe into your homes.

These amazing woodland creatures curled up and sleeping amongst branches, will make a thoughtful gift for a friend or a loved one. While the felt ornaments brighten their homes with joy, they will remember the love you have for them and how important they are to you.
It is a wonderful gesture in time for festive celebrations.

A general fun fact:
They are all sleeping, but did you know that out of all of them, only hedgehogs and some species of mice officially hibernate? You may think, what about the bears? Well, brown bears don’t hibernate but go into a state called torpor. ‘Sometimes referred to as dormancy, torpor is a time in which an animal is less active and has a reduced metabolic rate and body temperature. Hibernation is, essentially, a prolonged torpid state.’
Along with bears: badgers, red squirrels and most species of mice go into a torpid state, which ‘Unlike hibernation, torpor is involuntary, and animals only enter it when environmental conditions become too harsh. It doesn’t last as long as hibernation and animals may enter and emerge from torpor more easily than true hibernation.’

This festive lantern is 100% handmade, which means it’s not only hand-decorated but also built from scratch.

Each festive lantern is made from high-quality paraffin wax; it is 13 cm high and diameter of 13 cm.
It includes six different felt sleeping animals that are hand-painted with hot, coloured wax, as well as pine branches all around this festive lantern.

If any of you can’t be present all the time during the burning of the tea light candle inside your wax lantern or have children or pets and it is impossible to keep the flame out of their reach, you can use battery-operated LED lights (not included).

Each festive lantern is packaged in a branded cardboard box (ready gift box with a white tissue), along with a Certificate of Originality, one tea light candle and burning instructions/warning labels.
