Candle FELT NIGELLA is a candle with an uncommon nigella sativa bouquet. You will rarely find a bouquet of nigellas at a store or even at the florist, but their captivating deep navy and calming blues are worth appreciating and worthy of their own unconventional everlasting bouquet. It’s a great gift for someone who loves wildflowers and wouldn’t mind having a candle that starts conversations and is beautiful to admire.
Did you know that the seeds of a Nigella Sativa have great health benefits? We sometimes add a sprinkle of them to our meals; they’re amazing on sandwiches.
The seeds are called black cumin and they were traditionally used for medicinal purposes:
‘Traditionally, N. sativa seeds have had many uses due to their anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties (Padhye et al., 2008). Applications of the seed include detoxification, purging parasites, treatment of abscesses, ulcers or tumours, headaches, asthma, local anaesthetic and as a remedy for toothaches.
[…] The seeds are ingested as a digestive aid after large celebratory feasts and also used as a beauty product as popularized by Egyptian Queen Nefertiti (Albert-Matesz, 2003). A unique candle with felt flowers, hand-painted with hot, coloured wax.
The candle burns inwards, so the flowers won’t be ruined. But they will be illuminated by the light of the flame over time, giving the bouquet a gorgeous serenity.
This candle is unscented and should be lit indoors. It’s approximately 12-14cm high, 11cm in diameter and weighs 1-1,2kg. It’s made from high-quality paraffin, 15% stearic acid and the highest quality, ISO-certified, original WEDO wicks.
Each candle is packaged in a branded ready gift box with white tissue lining, along with a ‘Certificate of Originality’ and burning instructions.
