Hand painted

There are two kind of techniques we use here.
The first one is difficult and very time consuming; hand painting with coloured wax.
It’s like an ancient form of writing by goose feathers but…. Even slower. The best of the best of our products are made using this kind of technique, and just like in the hand carved tag, it’s the products in the ‘Days&Nights’ mini collection.
Just take a look here and try to convinced us that we are wrong.
This short movie shows how much work is needed to complete one whole candle.

The second technique is ordinary hand painting, using a paint brush and acrylics. Well… not so ordinary because the surface needs to be well prepared and properly finished and the whole process requires a lot of time during every stage.
So there’s nothing that we could do faster. We don’t use acrylics for painting candles anymore, which would burn completely.
But we’ve done some research and burning candles painted by water-based and non-toxic acrylic paint (like ours), doesn’t harm more than if we were to use nail polish.

Mainly at this moment, we use acrylics for hand painting our wax decorations, like some of hanging décor or fridge magnets, because they are not made for burning.
